The facility would allow for increased productivity and safety for the Pyrmont East construction site due to the limited space available on site for upcoming construction activities. The facility is approx. 360m2 and includes the footpath, verge and parking lane along the Union Street frontage. The facility will be required until Feb 2025.

Detailed Noise and Vibration Impact Statement – Pyrmont Station Addendum OOH tunnelling prior to shed completion
The works assessed in this Addendum include the commencement of the station cavern tunnelling (Stage 2) prior to the full completion of the acoustic shed. The acoustic shed at the Pyrmont East worksite will be partly constructed, including the platforms over the temporary shaft and part of the shed walls. The commencement of excavation of the station cavern will be undertaken outside standard construction hours to allow the shed construction to continue during the standard hours.
